Fallout from CrowdStrike and IT outages

Please be cautious if you get an sms, phone call, email, Facebook message or computer popup (etc) offering to assist you with this recent IT outage.

Scammers will be using this news and momentum to scam panicking people. They might target your finances, private data or resources.

CrowdStrike will not be contacting you. Microsoft will not be calling you. Other big names known for having their names misused (e.g Telstra) are not likely to call you.

If you need help, don’t jump to the first cold calling IT person. Contact someone you know and trust.
